A Project for the Tasmanian Training Consortium course "Managing Policy-The Challenges and Opportunities"

Project Objective

To develop policy elements for the incorporation of economic considerations into Tasmania’s climate change policy.

Project Background

The Tasmanian Government has issued its draft climate change strategy for Tasmania that documents State policy on climate change.  Corresponding to the release of the draft strategy has been the Stern Review: The economics of climate change.  In the light of the latter report in particular, a clearly identified need exists to ensure the relevant elements of the Stern Review are reflected in both the policy statements and action plan in the draft climate change strategy.
