Mido Hotel (Bangkok)

http://www.bangkok.com/mido-hotel/ Pleasant hotel-clean and comfortable.  Located at edge of centre but only a few minutes walk from skytrain.  Friendly and helpful staff.  A neat restaurant with great food and drinks.

Duangtawan Hotel

(Changmai)

http://central-duangtawan-hotel.th66.com/ Beautiful hotel.  Luxury accommodation in central Changmai and overlooks the night markets.  Fantastic lobby and a lovely pool/bar area to relax in.  Highly recommended.

Vietnam

Hotel Que Huong Liberty 4 www.libertyhotels.com.vn

Convenient little hotel.  Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable.  Centre of backpacker area and a short walk from Ben Thuan markets and other Saigon features.  Get a room with balcony overlooking the City Park.

Sheraton Xian Hotel

(Xian)

www.sheraton.com/xian Ever a fan of the Sheraton chain, Sheraton Xian doesn't fail to disappoint with luxury accommodation and facilities on the edge of the old city section of Xian.  Bit of a walk from city centre- but cabs waiting in abundance outside the hotel.  Great restaurants and a terrific cocktail bar.

Philippines

Manila Hotel

(Manila)

www.manila-hotel.com.ph/

This grand old hotel has to be one of my favourites.  The hotel's by-line 'tradition of elegance' says it all.  Reflects the splendour of yesteryear providing the ultimate in comfort and care. The past abode of an array of  famous characters. A secure and historic location.

Bohol Tropics Resort

(Tagbilaran)

www.boholtropics.com A resort that makes a great place to unwind.  Great choice of accommodation.  Highly recommend the Presidential suite.  Friendly and helpful staff, terrific selection of pools, and great choice of restaurants and bars.  Practice your karaoke before you visit.
